Why this matters when choosing an installer
Tuning quality is the hardest thing to verify before you buy. Every studio says its calibration is good, and a showroom listen tells you about one car on one day.
Judged competition is one of the few places the claim gets tested by someone with no stake in the outcome, against criteria published in advance. That is the whole reason we publish placings with their categories rather than a headline count.
It is not a promise about your car. A competition build is tuned for a scoring sheet, not a commute. What it tells you is who is doing the tuning.

What is EMMA?
EMMA — the European Mobile Media Association — runs judged car audio competitions with defined categories and published scoring criteria. Vehicles are assessed by trained judges on sound quality, installation and technical execution. It is one of the few settings in car audio where a claim about tuning can actually be tested by someone other than the installer.
What do the category names mean?
Categories separate systems by how much modification and processing is permitted, so builds compete against comparable builds. Expert and Master denote competitor classes; Unlimited and Limited describe how far a system may depart from stock; and OEM classes judge systems that keep the factory interface intact. A placing is only meaningful alongside its category, which is why we always publish both.
Does a competition result mean my car will sound the same?
No, and we would not claim it. A competition car is built and tuned for a judged scoring sheet, not for a daily commute. What the result does tell you is that the people tuning your car have had their work measured against a published standard by independent judges — which is a different thing from a self-assessed claim.
Can I hear a competition-tuned system?
Demonstration vehicles at the Koramangala studio let you listen before deciding anything. Availability varies, so call ahead and we will make sure a relevant vehicle is on site when you visit.
